I never thought I would ever come to Africa.  It was never a place on my “must see before I die” list. The opportunity arose out of some amazing circumstances and after watching my friend Regina live and breathe here, my heart was stirred to make the trip. Since I have been here, I have seen the face of devastation. I have seen children who are hungry, people who are sick, and a nation facing death because its government has left them to die. Yet, I have never seen a more joyous nation. The people of Zimbabwe and Zambia are the happiest and most fulfilled people I have ever met. It has uplifted me and changed me. I am so grateful this Thanksgiving. I am grateful that God has placed me on the most amazing team of all time and that I am making friends that will last a lifetime. I am grateful that I am able to spend Thanksgiving in the most beautiful country I have ever seen. But mostly I am grateful that God loves me so much, and that He gives me so much grace.
