I am blessed to say that this is my third mission trip to Zimbabwe and Zambia and I am humbled to say that each time God calls me here He teaches me something new about the people of these countries as well as myself. A common motto in Celebration Church of Zimbabwe is “The Kingdom of God is a disposition”. What a thought!

My two previous trips I’ve walked away from Africa amazed by the joy that the people here show despite suffering from disease, starvation, and terrible odds. But the thought that despite what our circumstances are, we can choose our attitude is a new idea to me. We, as well as the people of Africa, have a choice. We can rejoice with what we have and know that one day may be tough but, our God is tougher and it will get better or, we can sulk in the attitude of despair. The people here have chosen the disposition of joy! I am not surprised that yet again, I have come here to serve others and walked away learning more about the Glory of our Lord and His Kingdom. I will choose to be in the Kingdom of God. I will choose joy.
