Africans know the pain of hunger, disease and homeless and despair -- and they know the value of giving. The tragedy left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina has gripped the heart of the world and Africans are responding to the need.
In an area of the world where the average monthly income is less than $50USD, this example of love and caring that is hard to describe, but it demonstrates that in Africa they understand the enormous blessing received through giving.
